The course aims to refresh the necessary skills regarding assessing competence of students and / or valid professionals in operational environments and situations. It also aims to impart an understanding of current European controller competence regulations and of the principles of assessing competence, as well as enhance the appreciation for the positive impact competence assessment can have individually as well as on the unit.

The assessor refresher course is certified and compliant with the regulation (EU) 2015/340.
Prerequisites
The Lektor Competence Assessor Training Course is designed for controllers who have previously completed an assessor course, or equivalent.
Training methods
The Lektor Assessor Course comes with full online delivery. It comprises of theoretical and practical modules, which all can be completed with a professional ATC Training instructor via videoconferencing tool.
The modules with instructor driven learning includes discussions, presentations, virtual table-top exercises and case-studies. They are designed to involve the learner in the process, so the participants will have a very active role on the course.
The same technology is used also to complete the competence assessment at the end of the course.
Objectives of the course
After successfully completing the Lektor Competence Assessor Refresher course, the participant shall:
be able to analyse the assessor role
apply appropriate assessment techniques
comprehensively understand the roles and responsibilities of the competence assessor.
Duration of the course
The Lektor Competence Assessor Refresher Training Course is usually completed in 1 day. Depending on your training needs it could take maximum 2 days.
Competence assessment
The competence assessment is required for candidates who are renewing their expired endorsement. The competence assessment for the Assessor Refresher course has an additional price of €300 (VAT included)
Certificate
After successful completion of the course, the participant receives a Training Certificate, which states the Assessor endorsement.
